May 24th, 2026- We are slowing down a little due to current demands on our time. Brian is driving to visit his mother and manage her affairs while I stay home and continue to check in on my own parents, who have needed my extra attention. It’s Memorial Day weekend and we need a break. We have done a few more interviews, and I am currently broadening the network of people who knew and worked with Phil. We have a short list of folks who are in contact with us, working to gather new stories and artifacts for our project. When they are ready to share with us, we will be ready. This a long game with no deadline. I was assured by another documentarian that “this will never end” so we are finding our pace. We are currently focusing on people who are reaching out to us first.
March 6, 2026- We are now about six months into the project proper, with a dozen interviews posted, and 200 videos now live on the YouTube channel. The website has been fleshed out somewhat. Brian has uncovered some new family photos and we’ll post those soon on the bio page. He has also uncovered some old artwork where Phil collaborated with his first wife, Maureen. We are planning more interviews and looking for more music. We are about to delve into the paper trail of session sheets to determine better who played what and when with Phil in the early Dallas years. Stay tuned.
